Half Blood Prince Released

Tying in with the long awaited film release of
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince comes the mulitplatform video game developed and published by EA.

Audiomotion was not only approached to provide the additional ingame mocap for Har
ry Potter and Hermione Granger for the sixth installment in the HP franchise but also to capture Quidditch sequences.

To recreate the flying Quidditch movements, we used a specially constructed wooden frame which allowed the actor to rotate on his 'broomstick' whilst being supported by a wire harness.



Killzone 2

Knocks Halo Wars Off The Top Spot...

After many years of work Killzone 2 has hit the shelves.

Audiomotion was responsible for delivering over 5000 in-game moves as well as all of the animation for the cutscenes. Cinematics producer Geert Donker stated “Throughout the production of Killzone 2, Audiomotion proved once again to be a reliable and flexible partner.

They have shown a formidable willingness to facilitate our needs, and their great team of artists ensured animation of impeccable quality. Supporting us creatively and technically, they went above and beyond the call of duty. They are a joy to work with.”

Guitar Hero World Tour

Guitar Hero On The Download

Audiomotion worked with Freestyle Games to provide the facial motion capture for the worldwide phenomenon that is Guitar Hero.

The facial animation was captured as part of World Tour DLC catalogue and features artist such as Steely Dan, The Pixies and Nirvana.

Alien Vs Predator

Three Species. One Planet

Client: Rebellion / SEGA

Rebellion returns to the cult Sci-fi franchise with it's latest Alien Vs. Predator offering due for released 2010.

Audiomotion teamed up with Rebellion to capture a range of ingame and cutscene sequences - from key character marines to the Predators themselves! Working with highly skilled, fight trained actors and stunt performers we were able to recreate the high action shots, and brutal death scenes that AvP is renowned for.

DJ Hero

DJ Hero Rocks Turntables at E3

Client: Freestyle Games / Activision

With a ever growing fan base and celebrity supporters including Jay-Z and  Eminem, DJ Hero is another uber cool brainchild from the makers of Guitar Hero and B-Boy, Freestyle Games.

Audiomotion worked with a cast of DJs, actors, musicians and dancers for the character sequences and ingame animation. Using advanced finger capture technology we were able to capture intricate scratching and mixing techniques to reflect authenticity, style and attitude of each character.

Winner of multiple awards at E3 2009 Awards including Best Music Game, Best Social/Casual Game and many more.

Fiddy Is Back

Our good friends have done it again and confounded the critics by producing the critically acclaimed Fiddy Cent sequel.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Messi Capture in Barcelona

Client: Konami

Once again, we were asked  to provide motion capture services for Konami's flagship title PES 2010. This time to record the world class striker Lionel Messi. The mocap session took place in a venue in the heart of Barcelona on 29th May 2009, just 48 hrs after they won the UEFA Cup Final.

Audiomotion set up a portable rig of 50 cameras. Journalists invited from around the globe were able to view the 3D game character driven by the real-time motion capture data from Messi himself. Scott Garrod, Konami's Licensing manager said: "The Audiomotion crew were fantastic, everything ran very smoothly and we were very impressed with the setup. These guys went beyond the call of duty."

Rockband 2

Harmonix Intro Rocks Out

Client: Passion Pictures / Harmonix

Audiomotion were approached by Passion Pictures to provide the motion capture for the cinematic trailer of Rock Band 2.

Directed by Pete Candeland whose most notable work includes music videos for The Gorillaz, the opening sequence sees two duelling bands performing on top of moving cars as they race along the highway.

This scene was recreated at Audiomotion studios using a specially build car prop, using harnesses to produce the death defying leap action where the lead character jumps across to the rival team's car.

Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando Returning for Duty

Client: Grin

Audiomotion were approached by Swedish developer, Grin to provide the ingame mocap sequences including key combat moves for the 2009 release of Bionic Commando.

This adventure-platform game developed and published by Capcom in collaboration with Grin is the seventh generation console installment in the series and the sixth game overall following the original arcade, NES, and Game Boy versions.




 

Wanted: Weapons of Fate

The Fraternity Wants You...

Client: Grin

Continuing on from where the film left off, Wanted: Weapons of Fate is a fast faced, adrenaline fuelled action game following Wesley as he attempts to uncover the truth about his mother.

Audiomotion were approached by games developer, Grin to provide the ingame mocap for this third person cover shooter. For cover sequences and prop interaction, specially constructed props were crafted for the shoot to help minimize occlusion. Where this occlusion was unavoidable, Audiomotion's team of high skilled technicians worked their post production wizardry to reconstruct and retarget the data, filling in any loose gaps with precision and accuracy.

The Club

We Dare You To Take Part...

Client: ARK VFX / Sega

Fight as a modern-day mercenary gladiator in The Club, an underground blood-sport in which ruthless killers earn respect and infamy in deathmatches.

ARK VFX approached Audiomotion Studios to work alongside them to deliver the motion capture for 10 HD cutscenes for the game. Audiomotion in turn booked Ben Cooke (Daniel Craig's stunt double from Casino Royale) to play the main characters. The Club

The finished work is testament to the tremendous skill at Ark VFX.
